1. Introduction

Welcome to Merseyside Tree Care Ltd.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and any tree surgery, hedge maintenance, garden clearance and arboricultural services provided by us.

By requesting a quotation, booking our services or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide professional tree surgery and related services including, but not limited to:

  • Tree Removal
  • Tree Felling
  • Tree Pruning
  • Crown Reduction
  • Crown Thinning
  • Crown Lifting
  • Hedge Trimming
  • Shrub Removal
  • Emergency Tree Services
  • Stump Grinding
  • Tree Planting

All work is carried out by trained and insured professionals.

3. Quotations

All quotations are free unless otherwise stated.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless specified otherwise.

Additional work requested after a quotation has been accepted may incur additional charges.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Ensuring access to the property
  • Informing us of underground utilities or hidden hazards
  • Obtaining neighbour permissions where appropriate
  • Advising us of any Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) or Conservation Area restrictions if known

If work cannot proceed because of restricted access or undisclosed hazards, additional charges may apply.

5. Tree Preservation Orders & Legal Permissions

Some trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders or are located within Conservation Areas.

It is the property owner's responsibility to obtain any permissions required before work begins unless we have agreed in writing to make the application on your behalf.

We reserve the right to refuse work that would breach local authority regulations.

6. Weather & Delays

Tree work is heavily weather dependent.

We may postpone work due to:

  • High winds
  • Heavy rain
  • Snow
  • Lightning
  • Hot Weather
  • Unsafe working conditions

We will arrange the next available suitable date.

7. Waste Removal

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • All branches, logs and green waste will be removed from site.
  • Firewood can be left at the customer's request.
  • Woodchip can also be left if requested before work starts.

8. Payment

Payment is due upon completion unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.

We accept bank transfer and other agreed payment methods.

Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.

9. Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation charge where costs have already been incurred.

Emergency cancellations due to severe weather will not incur charges.

10. Liability

We carry Public Liability Insurance.

While every care is taken to protect your property, we cannot be held responsible for:

  • Existing defects
  • Hidden underground services
  • Decay or structural weaknesses not visible before work
  • Damage resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

While we make every effort to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee its completeness or suitability for every situation.

By providing your telephone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Merseyside Tree Care relating to quotations, bookings, appointment reminders, job updates, invoices and customer service. Where required by law, marketing messages will only be sent with your express consent. You can opt out of marketing SMS messages at any time by following the instructions provided in the message or by contacting us directly. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile network provider.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
